Limericks on Consumer Protection
Nyaaya
There once was a woman who loved white,
She bought washing powder to make her clothes bright.
But though it claimed to be best,
It failed each ‘whiteness’ test,
So for misleading ads, she went to fight.

There once was a man who loved shopping
Online, he went from site to site hopping.
But his helicopter didn’t fly,
And his idli batter was dry,
So he filed e-commerce complaints, instead of stopping.
———————————–
There once was a guru who sold ghee,
It was labelled as pure as could be,
But the contents were combined,
From other market ghee he could find,
And that is as unfair as trade practices can be.

There once was a man called Vivek,
Who had a splitting headache,
He went to the chemist for a med,
But still spent the full day in bed,
And had to report it as spurious and fake.

A woman with a pack of choco bites,
Shouted – This is a violation of consumer rights!
I’ll pay MRP and no higher,
I’m no clueless buyer,
I read the label on these yummy delights!
