Did you know that you can book a Covid-19 vaccination slot through WhatsApp?
Indians can now book slots for Covid-19 vaccination through WhatsApp. How can you do so?
Step 1: Registration
Register in the Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network (CoWIN) system at www.cowin.gov.in. You can register by providing basic details like name, date of birth, permanent and current address, and details of co-morbidities, if any. You must provide your photo identity from any one of the following:
- Aadhaar Card
- Driving License
- Health Insurance Smart Card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour
- MGNREGA Job Card
- Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs
- PAN Card
- Passbook issued by Bank/Post Office
- Passport
- Pension Document
- Service Identity Card issued to employees by Central/State Govt./PSUs/ Public Limited Companies
- Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR
- Voter ID Card

Step 2: Book slot on WhatsApp
Type “Book Slot”, and send the message to the MyGov Corona Helpline number 9013151515. You will receive a one-time password through SMS.
Enter the password into the WhatsApp chat. The chatbot will display your CoWin data.
To book the slot, enter your mobile number. You will receive a pincode. Upon entering it, you can choose your preferred date, location and vaccine.
Step 3: Date and Place of Vaccination
You will get a confirmation about the Health Facility where you will get the vaccine, and the scheduled date and time for the vaccination.
Step 4: Verification of Identification Proof
At the time of vaccination, you must give your Photo ID (the same one you provided while registering on CoWIN) to the health officials for verification.
Step 5: Results
You can get your vaccination certificate by sending the message “Covid Certificate” on the MyGov Corona Helpline number through WhatsApp, and entering the OTP.
