Revised vaccination policy: What does it mean for private hospitals?

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has allowed private hospitals to return vaccine doses to the government and get a refund within one month for the applicable amount. The Court allowed this in the context of the government’s changed vaccination policy which allows all vaccine doses to be administered by the States/UTs free of cost to all citizens through Government Vaccination Centres.

Under the new policy, each vaccine manufacturer will declare the price of vaccine doses for private hospitals, and these hospitals can charge up to Rs. 150 per dose as service charges.
