Supreme Court urges the government to consider lockdown

The Supreme Court has seriously urged the Central and State governments to consider imposing a lockdown to curb the second wave of Covid-19 for public welfare. Keeping in mind the socio-economic impact of a lockdown, specifically on marginalized communities, the Court said the government must make arrangements beforehand to provide for their needs.
